Option #1: 38 Miles through the Mountains

This area is known for its beautiful colonial and early national period stone homes, owned and operated as museums by the Huguenot Historical Society. There are two long and gradual climbs which pass a private nature preserve, and a state park with waterfalls. The reward is at the top with a panoramic view of Sullivan County. The ride then winds down along peaceful country roads before hitting the major climb of the day- a two-mile climb with a steep ending. You are then invited to conclude the ride with hors d’oeuvres at the local brew pub (drinks not included).

Option #2: 48 or 55 miles in Flatter Terrain
A long-time favorite of local cyclists, this tour is as flat a ride as the area has to offer. We wind through the scenic valley within view of the beautiful mountains featured in the first option. This ride offers some dramatic scenery, with the historical village at the end. While in New Paltz we will stop at a popular bakery and then ride down Huguenot Street as described above.
